Web installations have there place. Often though you may need to distribute an MSI/exe over several PCs. Annoyingly, from Microsoft, Windows SDK 8 is only available as a web installer. Thankfully sdksetup.exe can be run from the command line and provides an option to download features of Windows SDK 8 to copy and install on other computers.
From the command line run:
sdksetup.exe /layout [path to download Windows SDK 8]
This option only downloads the installation features and does not install to the local computer. If the path is not specified, Windows SDK 8 defaults the path to C:\Users\[User Name]\Downloads\Windows Kits\8.0\StandaloneSDK.
